There are many teachings in Islam that advocate the use of the sword (killing) to advance their religion. The teachings of Jesus calls us to surrender to the sword (martyrdom) to advance His Kingdom. Pray for Muslims in Nashville to wrestle with this contrast and for their hearts to be softened to Christ.
Each of us who comes to Christ must repent of and renounce every pact, promise, or identity we held before faith in Christ. Join us in praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ from a Muslim background as they repent of their former identity as Muslims. We have the power of the Holy Spirit to reveal truth. “Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgement…” (John 16:7-8).
Pray for Christians from a Muslim background in Nashville to trust only the Holy Spirit to reveal truth.
“I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven” (Mat 18:18).
Pray that principalities and powers over Nashville would be held back, broken, and thrown down as the name of Jesus is lifted high over this nation. And may followers of Jesus walk in the authority bestowed on them by Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension.

May many people in Nashville come to salvation and communities of believers be planted. We pray for disciples who make disciples and churches that plant churches. Lord Almighty, may generations of believers come to faith, covering the whole nation and touching all aspects of society: economic, political, social, ecological, and cultural.
“Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand, so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you” (2 Co 10:15-16).

Your ways are not our ways. Your Kingdom is unlike every earthly kingdom. We pray for your heavenly Kingdom to come in every home, neighborhood, city, and region throughout this city, and state, and nation.
PRAY THE BOOK OF ACTS
“But he, full of the Holy Spirit gazed into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God…” (Acts 7:56) Father, we pray for many Stephen-like believers in Nashville – men and women of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, and servants. May they be ready to do whatever you call them to at whatever cost because they are so gripped by your glory.
PRAY THE HALL OF FAITH
“By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.” (Hebrews 11:8) May both seekers and believers in Nashville be willing to start on a journey of obedience to you despite not knowing how it may turn out in this life.
